Michael Hurley is President of Team 3i LLC, an international consulting company. In addition to advising Goodstory, he is an advisor to multiple Silicon Valley high-tech companies, among them Palantir Technologies, Affirm, Blend, Sentilink, Adyton, and Peregrine Technologies. Michael was a CIA operations officer for 25 years, serving in conflict areas throughout the world. He deployed to Afghanistan immediately after the 9/11 attacks where for eighteen months he led CIA forces in the hunt for Osama bin Laden. He served twice on the National Security Council staff at the White House as Director for the Balkans. He was a Senior Counsel and Team Leader on the 9/11 Commission and is co-author of its bestselling final report. He was a senior advisor on counterterrorism to the State Department. When Michael is not working on high profile national security matters, he likes to play guitar or churn out mile after mile in his gym’s swimming pool.
